TISFLO | Fortran, C++, VBA

Developed and modernized TISFLO, a powerful flowsheet solver used by process engineers for precise heat and mass balance calculations in chemical plants. Migrated the application from 32-bit to 64-bit architecture, refactored legacy Fortran into modern standards, and improved overall performance. Enhanced functionality by integrating Excel VBA with dynamic link libraries, enabling faster plant design and optimization workflows

Launchpad Application | VB.NET

Designed and enhanced the Stamicarbon Launchpad, a GUI supporting TISFLO. Created user-friendly interfaces for data preprocessing, reducing the time engineers spent preparing input files. Ensured seamless Excel integration for mass balance optimization and plant design analysis

Instrument Index & DHS | VBA

Maintained and optimized an Excel-based automation tool for process control engineers. Automated repetitive tasks through VBA scripting, improving efficiency and reducing engineering time in process control documentation

Integrated Proposal Tool | Fortran, VB, C#, .NET Framework

Led the migration of a legacy underground mining equipment sizing tool written in Fortran. Transformed it into a modern C# .NET application with added features like automated proposal document generation and centralized data storage. The solution standardized workflows, reduced manual errors, and improved sales engineering productivity

Brake Temperature Calculation Tool | MATLAB

Enhanced a safety-critical simulation tool for hoist braking systems. Fixed bugs, added advanced calculation features, and validated models to help engineers determine brake pad requirements and friction coefficients. The improvements reduced lead time in safety analysis and equipment validation

PCDevice Library | ATL COM, VC++, VB → C# .NET

Migrated and enhanced the Process Control Device Library, a standardized library for valves, motors, PID controllers, and industrial automation objects. Transitioned the platform from outdated VB to C# .NET, reducing engineering hours and enabling flexible, customer-specific enhancements

SCADAvantage | C#, VC++, SQL, Polyhedra

Maintained and optimized SCADAvantage, a SCADA software platform for oil & gas industries. Improved backend database performance, added new automation features, and fixed critical bugs. Conducted OSS scans and supported release quality assurance. The project contributed to maximizing uptime, improving safety, and reducing lifecycle costs.

Rotorcraft Simulation | CAMRADII, Techplot

Performed advanced rotorcraft analysis for HAL and ADE projects. Delivered simulations for trim, flutter, vibration, stability derivatives, and transient responses across multiple flight conditions. Validated results with real flight test data, supporting India’s aerospace R&D programs.

Centrifugal Pump FEA | ANSYS WB, Hypermesh
Bevel Gearbox Analysis | MASTA, CATIA V5, ANSYS WB

Generated high-fidelity finite element meshes for centrifugal pump components at GTRE. Applied CFD pressure loads, performed von-Mises stress analysis, and conducted modal studies for durability and safety under burst/proof pressure conditions.

Modeled and analyzed the auxiliary gearbox of an aircraft engine. Conducted static, dynamic, and failure analyses to validate strength, reliability, and performance. Optimized the design for reduced transmission errors and improved efficiency.

Hypoid Gear Optimization | MASTA

Designed and analyzed hypoid gear sets for truck axle systems. Performed NVH, durability, and geometry optimizations to enhance strength and minimize noise and vibration.

Developed a multi-body dynamics model of independent suspension systems. Evaluated ride comfort, fatigue life, and steering performance of vehicles for defense applications. Delivered insights that guided component stress improvements.

Indian Institute of Science

Key contributor in building M3SOL, a finite element solver for multiphysics and multi-domain simulations. Developed 2D and 3D FE codes from scratch, validated them against commercial tools, and created extended FE methods for discontinuity problems. Additionally, co-developed a Drop Weight Impact Testing Machine for testing composites under low-velocity impacts.

Composite Plate Analysis | NASTRAN, PATRAN, MATLAB
Aircraft Wing Spar Beam Optimization

Researched the effects of foreign objects on glass-fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) beams. Fabricated laminates, carried out impulse response testing, and validated results using NASTRAN/PATRAN and FFT analysis in MATLAB. Delivered findings that advanced composite materials research for defense applications.

Designed and optimized a spar beam for a transport aircraft wing using 2024-T3 aluminum. Conducted finite element analysis to identify stress distributions, optimize cutouts, and achieve significant weight reduction without compromising safety.
